Early Years and Children's Workforce Apprenticeships

Working with children is so rewarding.
"Get in and go far" with one of our apprenticeship programmes.

Central Bedfordshire Academy of Social Work and Early Intervention (The Academy) deliver childcare apprenticeships in partnership with early years childcare settings, children's centres and schools.

Apprentices simply earn while they learn!

If you'd like to work with children our early years childcare or teaching assistant apprenticeships are offered at intermediate or advanced level.

Our Intermediate Apprenticeships are delivered over a one year programme and include achievement of the Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce qualification or Level 2 Certificate for Support Teaching and Learning - these are sometimes term time only.

Our Advanced Apprenticeships are delivered over a two year programme and include achievement of the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) or the Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Supporting Teaching and Learning.

Our apprentices are employed by an early years setting, children's centre or school, the training is delivered by The Academy mostly in your place of work but being able to get to one of our off-site training locations is essential - Biggleswade, Shefford, Leighton Buzzard, Houghton Regis and Dunstable.

As a minimum, payment is in line with the National Minimum Apprenticeship Wage  and your employment contract is normally 30 hours per week.
