Role PurposeTo provide leadership and direction to managers and staff across Area 4 of Dawn Until Dusk Ltd.’s before, after-school clubs and be responsible for all marketing, ensuring that high quality childcare is provided at all times.

Qualifications

Job summary: Deputise for the manager in his or her absence day to day organisation of the club, Provide play care within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures

Main duties include:

Helping the manager with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.

Providing comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering them safely to parents/carers.

To be able to access the Computer System, Connect, to upload Registration forms, take payments, make bookings and print daily registers as and when required.

Providing support and supervision to play workers and volunteers in the absence of the manager, including support with observations and completing EYFS observation folders.

Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met and the Safer Food Better Business Dairy sheets are completed daily.

Administering first aid when necessary and completing accident/incident forms.

Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities and evaluating termly play plans.

Encouraging parental involvement in the club.

Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, schools and childcare and play related agencies.

Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.

Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure by completing daily and monthly risk assessments.

Deputy Pre-School Manager

Salary: £11,129.64 pa (includes holiday pay and 4 out of hours payment per month)

Hours: 25 hrs per week/term time

Stondon Stompers Pre-School require a self motivated and proactive Deputy Manager to join our small collaborative team within this friendly pre-school setting.

The successful candidate must be qualified to at least NVQ 3 (or equivalent) and who is currently working in a similar role with a proven track record in implementing and actively promoting Early Years Foundation Stage.
